Cajun Spice Mix

A great spice mix for almost anything. I’ve used it in eggs and on shrimp, pork, and chicken.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2.5 tsp. smoked paprika 1
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper 2
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. granulated onion powder
- 1.25 tsp. dried oregano
- 1.25 tsp. dried thyme
- 0.5 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional)3
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months
Notes
- Regular paprika is fine if you don’t like the smoky flavor or aroma of the smoked paprika.
- You can add more of this if you like it spicier.
- You may want to take these crushed red pepper flakes and grind them smaller in a mortar and pestle or spice grinder.
