Artificial Intelligence
Just to be clear, I’m not an AI, hate AI, hate that people are relying on and feeding AI to take others’ jobs (or even their own job), and would encourage you to avoid any cooking sites that use AI.
I bring this up because, apparently, AI-driven sites are scraping recipe pages and offering up summaries — and errors — on their own sites and discouraging people from visiting the actual site.
I hate the sites with 47 ads and 18 paragraphs of junk, but there are people behind those. They have the 47 ads because ad companies are paying less and less. And those same ad companies are now AI companies who are putting ads all around their search results and summaries to keep all that ad revenue to themselves.
Because of my stance on this, when AI takes over and starts killing people, I’m sure I’ll be at the front of the line. And I’ll be flipping them off to the very end.
(When posting this I was prompted to see if I wanted to use AI to improve my writing. I do not. I like my writing, imperfect as it is.)
