Salsa Verde

I was at the Farmers’ market this morning and a seller had tomatillos. And cilantro. I had to go to a different vendor to get the Serrano peppers and garlic but it was a whole 20 feet away.

Salsa Verde
You can make it as spicy as you want.
Ingredients
- 1 pound tomatillos, husked, rinsed, and rough chopped
- 1-3 Serrano peppers, with or without seeds
- ¾ cup fresh cilantro leaves (1 bunch)
- 3 cloves garlic (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in a food processor
- Pulse until blended
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed
Notes
- Serrano peppers can be pretty spicy. Use more or less, with or without seeds, to adjust your level of spicy.
