Making Self-Rising Flour

I buy all-purpose flour. By adding vital wheat gluten I can make bread flour. Today a recipe my wife wanted to make called for self-rising flour, so I had to go look up how to make it.

In short it’s a cup (120 grams) of flour and 6 grams (1½ teaspoons) of baking powder and 1 gram (¼ teaspoon) of kosher salt.
