Roasted Garlic Cloves

Creates evenly roasted, deliciously soft, garlic cloves.

Equipment

  • Small casserole dish with lid (or a "lid" made from foil)

Ingredients

  • 24 garlic cloves, peeled, cleaned
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Kosher Salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 300°F
  • In a small bowl, toss the cloves with oil and salt. Drain.
  • Make a "boat" with foil to put into the casserole dish. (See photo below)
  • Put the cloves into the boat.
  • Add a small amount of water or broth (chicken, beef, or vegetable) in the area outside of the "boat."
  • Cover and bake for 25-35 minutes until a fork can easily pierce the largest clove.

Notes

Option: Add 1/2 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning or just Oregano with the oil and salt.
