Whipped Feta Dip

Equipment

  • Food processor (makes it easier)

Ingredients

  • 225 grams feta cheese, crumbled or cubed (8 ounces)
  • 170 grams plain Greek yogurt (6 ounces or ¾ cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 15 ml extra virgin olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Lemon zest
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  • In a food processor, a blender, or a tall bowl for use with an immersion blender, combine the feta, yogurt, and garlic. Blend until smooth.
  • Add olive oil and incorporate.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and lemon zest to taste.
  • Serve with crackers, toasted bread points, or use in place of mayonnaise.

Notes

If you make it in advance, refrigerate and then whisk in a little additional yogurt right before serving to loosen it up.
